The Best CRM for Realtors Is the One That Texts Back

The best CRM for realtors in 2026 is the one that texts a new lead in under a minute. Real pricing for Follow Up Boss, GoHighLevel, Lofty, BoldTrail, and Wise Agent.

TLDR Most "best CRM for realtors" lists compare features. That's the wrong test. The lead goes to whoever texts back first, so the best real estate CRM is the one that sends a real, personal text within a minute, keeps following up for months, and doesn't need you to remember anything. Follow Up Boss is the cleanest pure CRM. Lofty and BoldTrail bundle a website and texting but don't publish prices. Wise Agent is the budget pick at $49 a month. GoHighLevel puts the CRM, website, texting, email, and AI follow-up in one account for $97 a month plus usage, and its new AI tools now do most of the setup for you.

Every list of the best CRM for realtors I've read makes the same mistake. They line up 40 features in a grid, put a checkmark in most of the boxes, and call it a comparison.

Here's what that grid misses. A buyer fills out a form at 9:40 on a Tuesday night. They also filled out two other forms on two other sites that night. Whoever texts them back first, with an answer that sounds like a person, gets the conversation. The other two agents get a lead that has already gone quiet.

About 1,300 people a month search "best crm for realtors," and another 4,400 search "real estate crm." Almost all of them are really asking one question: which system will stop me from losing leads? So that's the test I'm going to use.

I build CRMs and AI follow-up systems for agents and teams, mostly in GoHighLevel. I'm not a licensed agent, and I don't sell houses. I build the systems agents run their follow-up on. So yes, I have a side, but I'll tell you where the other options win.

What actually makes the best CRM for realtors

Speed is the whole game, and the research on this is old and still holds up.

A Harvard Business Review study of online sales leads found that companies who reached out within an hour were nearly seven times more likely to qualify the lead than companies who waited even one more hour. The same study found that 23% of companies never responded at all.

Real estate makes this worse, not better. The National Association of REALTORS Profile of Home Buyers and Sellers has shown year after year that most buyers interview only one agent. That means the first good conversation usually wins the client. There's no second round.

So when I judge a real estate CRM, I look at four things:

  1. How fast does a new lead get a text? Seconds, minutes, or "whenever you see it."
  2. Can the text actually answer a question? A canned "Thanks for reaching out!" isn't follow-up. It's a receipt.
  3. Does it keep going for months? Most buyers aren't ready this week. The CRM has to follow up long after you've forgotten their name.
  4. How many other tools does it need? Every extra login is another place a lead can fall through.

Notice that texting sits at the center of all four. Your leads don't answer unknown numbers, and a lot of them never open email. They text. A CRM for realtors that treats texting as an add-on is built for how agents worked in 2015.

The real estate CRM options worth looking at in 2026

I picked five that agents actually ask me about. All prices come from each company's own pricing page as of November 2026.

Follow Up Boss: the cleanest pure CRM

Follow Up Boss is the CRM a lot of top teams run on, and it earns that.

According to the Follow Up Boss pricing page, the Grow plan is $69 per user a month, or $58 billed yearly. Calling adds $39 per user. Pro is $499 a month and includes 10 users with calling, and Platform is $1,000 a month for 30 users. Two-way texting and AI features like smart summaries and drafted messages come at no extra charge.

On speed, Follow Up Boss does well. Its texting features page lists an autoresponder that sends the first text to every new lead automatically. Lead routing and team accountability are built in, and most agents learn it in a day.

The gaps show up after that first text. Drip texting runs through outside tools like Agent Legend and Call Action, and its native texting doesn't include mass text campaigns. The IDX website comes from a separate provider that you connect. I covered this in detail in Follow Up Boss vs GoHighLevel.

Best for: teams buying a lot of portal leads, with agents who work the phones.

GoHighLevel: one account that runs the follow-up

GoHighLevel isn't a real estate CRM. It's a whole business system with a CRM inside it, which is exactly why I use it for agents.

Per the GoHighLevel pricing page, Starter is $97 a month with unlimited users and contacts. Texts, calls, and email are billed by usage. The AI Employee add-on is $50 or $97 a month. That one account includes the CRM, a website and landing page builder, forms, calendars, email marketing, two-way texting, and the automation builder.

On speed, this is where it pulls ahead. A Conversation AI agent can text a new lead the moment a form comes in, answer their questions about the house, offer showing times, and book one on your calendar. Then a follow-up plan keeps going for months, changing course based on what the lead says.

The old knock on GoHighLevel was setup. It could do anything, so someone had to build everything. In October 2026, HighLevel shipped AI tools that build a workflow from one sentence, test it for you, and set up an AI agent from a short description. The hardest part of the platform is the part it now automates.

Best for: solo agents and small teams who want fewer tools and follow-up that doesn't depend on anyone remembering.

Lofty: the bundled platform with a website

Lofty, which used to be called Chime, bundles a lot. The Lofty pricing page lists an IDX website, mass and auto texting, a basic dialer, and AI tools like Lofty Cowork and custom AI agents across its Agent, Team, Broker, and Enterprise plans.

What it doesn't list is a price. Every plan says "Request Pricing," and the page says cost depends on your package, seat count, upgrades, and lead programs. You'll need a sales call to find out what you'd pay.

Best for: agents who want an all-in-one real estate platform and don't mind negotiating the price.

BoldTrail: the brokerage pick

BoldTrail is the new name for kvCORE, and you usually get it through your brokerage. On its own pricing post, BoldTrail says it doesn't publish a standard pricing page with fixed monthly tiers. The front-office package includes a branded IDX website and a CRM with AI nurturing across email and text.

If your brokerage already pays for it, it's worth learning before you buy something else. If you're shopping on your own, expect a demo before you see a number.

Best for: agents whose brokerage already provides it.

Wise Agent: the budget pick

Wise Agent is the cheapest real option on this list. The Wise Agent pricing page shows $49 a month, or $42 billed yearly, and that covers up to five team members. It includes drip campaigns, transaction management, and one landing page.

The catch is texting. It's an add-on called WiseText at $11 a month for 1,000 credits, plus an $80 one-time registration fee. That's still cheap, but texting isn't built into the core.

Best for: newer agents who need contact management and transaction tracking on a tight budget.

Why I put my clients on GoHighLevel

I'll be straight about my bias and my reasons.

When I set up a CRM for an agent, I'm really setting up a promise: every lead gets a fast, personal reply, and nobody gets forgotten. That promise breaks at the seams between tools. The website catches the lead, the CRM stores it, the texting tool runs the campaign, and the email tool sends the newsletter. Every handoff is a spot where a lead can sit untouched for a weekend.

GoHighLevel removes most of those seams. The form, the contact, the texts, the emails, the booking, and the long-term nurture all live in one place. When a lead replies to a text from eight months ago, the whole history is right there.

Everything I build for agents is text-based. I don't set up phone robots or AI voice calls. The AI texts like you, you approve how it talks, and it hands the conversation to you the moment a real person should step in.

What a fast CRM for realtors looks like on a real lead

Go back to that Tuesday night lead at 9:40.

With a slow setup, the lead lands in the CRM. You see the notification at 7:15 the next morning, between coffee and your first showing. You send a text at 8:30. By then, the buyer has already traded three messages with the agent who answered at 9:41.

With a fast setup, the AI texts the buyer within a minute. It answers their question about the house, asks whether they're already working with an agent, and offers two showing times. The buyer picks Saturday at 11. You wake up to a booked showing and a short summary of the conversation, with a note about anything that needs your personal touch.

Same lead, same ad spend, same agent. One of those mornings has a client in it.

If your current setup looks more like the first version, read why your CRM isn't working and speed to lead automation. The fix is usually smaller than people think.

How to pick the best real estate CRM for you

Whatever you pick, run one test before you sign. Fill out a form on your own website as if you were a buyer, then time how long it takes to get a text back and read what it says. If it takes longer than a minute or reads like a receipt, the CRM isn't doing the job that matters most.

FAQ

What is the best CRM for realtors in 2026?

The best CRM for realtors is the one that texts a new lead within a minute and keeps following up for months without you. Follow Up Boss is the strongest pure real estate CRM for phone-heavy teams. GoHighLevel is the best fit for agents who want the CRM, website, texting, email, and AI follow-up in one account for $97 a month plus usage.

How much does a real estate CRM cost?

It ranges a lot. Wise Agent starts at $49 a month for up to five team members. Follow Up Boss starts at $69 per user a month, plus $39 for calling. GoHighLevel starts at $97 a month with no per-user fee, plus usage for texts and calls. Lofty and BoldTrail don't publish prices, so you'll need a quote.

Do realtors really need a CRM?

Yes, if you get more leads than you can remember. Most buyers interview only one agent, so a lead that waits overnight for a reply is often gone. A CRM catches every lead, texts them fast, and keeps following up after you've moved on to other deals.

Is GoHighLevel good for real estate agents?

Yes. GoHighLevel isn't built only for real estate, but it covers everything agents need: CRM, pipelines, a website, forms, calendars, two-way texting, email, and automations. Its October 2026 AI tools build workflows from a sentence and set up AI agents that text new leads first, which removes most of the setup work that used to hold agents back.

Can a CRM text leads automatically?

Most can send an automatic first text. Follow Up Boss has an autoresponder for new leads, and Lofty lists auto texting. GoHighLevel goes further with AI agents that answer questions, follow up over months, and book showings by text. Look for one that holds a real conversation, not one that sends a single canned reply.

Bottom line

Stop shopping for the CRM with the most features. Shop for the one that answers your leads first and keeps answering them for as long as it takes. For most solo agents and small teams in 2026, that's GoHighLevel, because it does the texting, the follow-up, and now most of its own setup in one place.
